Community Frequency exists to explore resilient communications for places where conventional connectivity does not reach or is not enough.
The project combines research, field testing, documentation, and feasibility assessment. It is intentionally technology-neutral and deliberately cautious about conclusions.
What makes this different?
We are not trying to prove that a particular radio, mesh platform, satellite service, or network architecture is the answer. We want to understand the problem first, then test what might work in the actual environment.
That means failures matter. Limitations matter. Uncertainty matters. A successful demonstration is useful evidence, but it is not automatically a deployment decision.
Where the work happens
Current experiments are being conducted in Arizona. Peru 2026 is the next major feasibility and field-learning mission.

The project maintains a public GitHub record of research, field experiments, findings, project history, and funding transparency. Sensitive operational information is intentionally excluded.
